Text Message Consent

How Windy City Linen customers agree to receive our order texts, and what those texts are.

The texting program

Windy City Linen order texts are sent one-to-one by our customer service team from (224) 279-1500. We text customers about their own orders and account only: delivery and pickup times, order changes, invoices and account questions, and replies to texts they send us. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How customers agree to texts

There are two ways, and no others.

  1. The online rental contract. The customer signs the contract on a phone or computer by typing their name or drawing their signature. The text message consent statement appears on the signing screen above the agreement checkbox and the Sign Contract button (and directly above the signature on the signed PDF copy), along with an optional field for a mobile number. Agreeing to texts is not required to rent from us.
  2. The customer texts START or YES to (224) 279-1500. They receive an automatic confirmation that names Windy City Linen, says message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply, and explains how to reply STOP or HELP.

Individual and Event Planner customers sign the online rental contract. Other customers, such as caterers, resellers, hotels and corporate accounts, do not receive a contract, so for them the second way is the only way to agree to texts.

The consent wording on the contract

This is the exact text shown on the signing screen, under the heading “Text messages about your order.”

As it appears in the online contract

Text messages about your order.

By signing this contract and giving us your mobile number, you agree that Windy City Linen may send text messages to that number about your order and account: delivery and pickup times, order changes, invoices and account questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or HELP for help; or call (224) 279-1500. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of your rental. See windycitylinen.com/privacy and windycitylinen.com/terms.

Where it appears on the signing screen

A simplified picture of the screen a customer sees, in the same order. The customer enters their name and signature, then reads the text message consent wording and may add a mobile number, then ticks the agreement checkbox and presses Sign Contract. On the signed PDF copy, the wording sits directly above the signature.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP at any time to stop texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (224) 279-1500. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Read our Privacy Policy and the Text messages section of our Terms & Conditions. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text messaging opt-in with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
